Atlanta Falcons meet with Gwinnett County firefighters
BUFORD, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Several members of the Atlanta Falcons dropped in to visit a handful of Gwinnett County fire stations Wednesday to show their appreciation for the firefighters' service.
Wide receiver Julio Jones, defensive tackle Peria Jerry, punter Matt Bosher and several of their teammates surprised firefighters with their visit at Station 24 at the Mall of Georgia mid-morning.
The players signed autographs and took pictures with the firefighters.
In addition, offensive lineman Joe Hawley and tight end Michael Palmer surprised the firefighters with free tickets to the Sept. 17 game against the Broncos at the Georgia Dome.
The Falcons planned to surprise firefighters at five different fire stations on Wednesday.
