MARIETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Marietta police arrested a man who they say forcibly raped a woman at the Ashford Retreat Apartments on Windy Hill Road on Wednesday.
Police said a female contract employee of the complex was cleaning a vacant apartment when she was attacked by Norris Leonard, 31, of Marietta.
Leonard, according to police, brandished a knife and robbed her of an unknown amount of cash.
Police said Leonard then sexually assaulted the victim before shutting her into a closet.
Leonard was positively identified by forensic evidence gathered at the scene, according to police.
Leonard is a resident of the apartment complex and lives in an apartment near the crime scene.
He was charged with aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, and armed robbery and is being held at the Cobb County Jail with no bond.
