A patient known as John Doe has been identified according to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Around midnight on Aug. 31, Stone Mountain police were called to a person shot at The Lakes Apartments on West Mountain Street.

Officers found Darius Myles, 34, who had died from a single gunshot to the lower abdomen.

Police said two men fled the scene in a silver or gray vehicle with a woman driver.
