COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Cobb County police are investigating the shooting death of a woman found after a man called 911 from a home in unincorporated Marietta Thursday night.
Sgt. Dana Pierce said Dennis Robert Bredar, 65, made a call to 911 just before 8 p.m., saying that he had just shot and killed his roommate
Based on what he told dispatchers, a patrol car was sent to the home.
Pierce said officers found Bredar sitting in a chair in the driveway of the Jamerson Forest Circle house. When they entered the home, they found Rhonda Callihan, 49, dead of injuries sustained from gunshots.
Bredar was arrested and charged with homicide and aggravated assault. He is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
