ALPHARETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
An Alpharetta woman will not face charges after her fetus was discovered in a freezer.
Alpharetta police said the fetus was discovered recently inside the freezer of a townhouse.
After an exhaustive investigation, it was determined the mother had a miscarriage in the second trimester of the pregnancy.
Police said the mother placed the fetus in the freezer because she did not have the financial means for a proper disposal or burial.
The Fulton County medical examiner's office supported the findings and no charges will be filed against anyone involved in the case.
