ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A movie-licensing deal sent Netflix stocks down Tuesday.
Shares fell about 10-percent after Amazon announced a licensing deal with cable channel Epix.
Epix used to be an exclusive partner with Netflix, but that agreement just expired.
It appears Amazon secured a deal with Epix, a Viacom-owned company that owns the digital rights to many Paramount, MGM and Lionsgate movies.
The deal will add 2,000 movie titles to Amazon's Prime streaming service this year, including "The Avengers," "The Hunger Games" and "True Grit."
