Pedestrian hit in Cobb County identified

COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Cobb County officers are investigating after a 50-year-old pedestrian was hit on Sandtown Road at Booth Road in Marietta.

According to investigators, Nevral M. Hollomon stepped into the roadway and into the path of a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix on Sandtown Road.

After being struck, Hollomon was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, but died as a result of her injuries.
