HENRY COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Twelve students and a teacher were taken to a hospital for evaluation in Henry County after a student accidentally sprayed pepper spray in a classroom while it was being shown to other students.
Around 11:44 a.m., the Henry County Fire Department responded to Stockbridge Middle School on Conyers Road and found several students with respiratory complaints.
The fire department checked 30 students and faculty with respiratory complaints.
Before releasing students and faculty back into the area of release, HCFD decontaminated the affected area of the building and was able to get students back to class within 45 minutes.
No one was seriously injured.
