ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
If you're hitting the road this Labor Day, get ready to shell out big bucks at the pump.
As Friday morning, AAA is reporting the average price of gas in Metro Atlanta is $3.94 a gallon.
That's up nearly a quarter in the past week.
The jump in prices came as oil companies evacuated rigs in the Gulf of Mexico because of Hurricane Isaac.
Flooding was so bad in Braithwaite, Louisiana, officials had to puncture a levee to help drain some of the water.
More than a foot of rain was dumped in some areas.
