ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
The Atlanta Braves have a new opponent this Friday - bullies.
The Braves are teaming up with the Anti-Defamation League to urge young people and their parents to take a stand against bullying at a special rally and on field ceremony before the game on Aug. 31 against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The No Place for Hate rally in Fan Plaza starts at 6 p.m. and will feature a performance by Yung Mieo, a 10-year-old Atlanta rapper who writes songs encouraging kids to stop bullying. Former Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons star Brian Jordan will also make an appearance to talk about his new book, Time Out for Bullies.
Fans at the game will get a copy of the No Place for Hate pledge and are encouraged to make a commitment to discouraging bullying.
