ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Atlanta police are searching for the person who shot at an officer near Princess Avenue and Avon Avenue in southwest Atlanta.
Officers told CBS Atlanta News that they attempted to stop and question a suspicious man on Princess Ave.
The man, who was riding a bike, would not cooperate with police. He instead got off his bike and hid behind a house, according to police.
At that point officers heard a gunshot. Officers took cover and requested additional units to the area.
The officer was not shot.
A perimeter was set up in the area during the search and several streets were closed.
Police did find a gun in the area.
