Man killed when forklift falls on him in Cobb County

AUSTELL, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Cobb County police are investigating after a man was killed while he was working on a forklift.

The accident happened at Caraustar on Humphries Hill Road in Austell on Thursday morning.

Calvin Carter, 40, was underneath the forklift working on it when it fell on top of him.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports that the forklift was on jacks when at some point it slipped off the jacks and pinned him.
