Several family members escaped injury and a man is recovering from a gunshot wound after three armed men broke into a Hampton area home late Tuesday.
Clayton County police Officer J. K. Schneller told CBS Atlanta officers responding to the scene on Woolsey Road at approximately 11 p.m. found the homeowner had been shot in the arm.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Schneller said the man's family was in the home at the time, but the number of people and their ages were not immediately known.
The only description given to police was that the three men were dressed in black, according to Schneller.
The incident remains under investigation.
