Henry County police searching for police impersonator

HENRY COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Henry County police are searching for a person impersonating an off-duty police officer.

On Aug. 24, between 5 and 5:30 p.m., a man impersonating an officer pulled over a woman on Highway 81 at Oakland Elementary School with what resembled an undercover police car.

The impersonator was described as 6 feet tall, 240 to 260 pounds, wearing a red shirt, and blue jeans. He was not wearing a duty belt or carrying a gun.

The man was driving a black early 2000 model Ford Crown Victoria, no agency markings, and equipped with one blue light on the dash near the steering wheel.
