KENNESAW, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Cobb County police are investigating who is responsible for throwing debris from a railroad overpass that damaged several vehicles overnight Saturday.
Dispatchers received several calls where motorists saw rocks and debris on the roadway on Old U.S. 41 Highway near Stilesboro Road. Police were sent to the area to investigate just after 3 a.m.
Stacy Cannon told CBS Atlanta News that she was driving along the roadway when debris came through her windshield and landed in the passenger seat. She was not injured.
"It sounded like a gun shot. Very loud," Cannon said.
Anyone who may have seen anything in the area should contact the Cobb County Police Department or dial 911.
