Missing 11-year-old Cherokee County boy found safe

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A missing 11-year-old Cherokee County boy has been found safe.

On Aug. 16, Elijah Cole was picked up from school by a man named Will Copes, a friend of Cole's father, Jason Cole.

Cherokee County Sheriff's investigators said Elijah and the two men stayed at a friend's home in Cherokee County the next night, but then disappeared.

It wasn't until Tuesday that Elijah turned up safe.

Investigators said they were questioning Copes and Jason Cole in the disappearance.
