ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

"Adding more lighting is good. It's really dark and that is probably why people get robbed, so I like that and the list," said Salima Hart, a Georgia State University student.
Eran Mordel is a student at Georgia Institute of Technology and a member of the task force.
He says getting students involved is key.
"Our big push at Georgia Tech is crime awareness, crime prevention. Helping students realize what dangers are out there and how they can help themselves and protect themselves," said Mordel.
Task force members say close cooperation is key to improving campus security. Watson asked one task force member Tough Questions about how cooperation was handled before the task force was created.
"Why didn't anybody think of widescale cooperation before now," asked Watson.
"I think it was going on before but it was loosely constructed. But this gave us an opportunity to make a more concerted effort, if you will, to make sure people are talking to one another," said Dr. Alvetta Thomas, the President of Atlanta Technical College.
