Canton men arrested in armed robbery

CANTON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Police arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery on Hickory Flat Highway in Canton on Thursday.

It happened in the early morning hours at the Laurels of Greenwood Apartment Complex.

After conducting preliminary interviews of the victim and witnesses, detectives identified the suspects as Dani Ahmad Hamde, 33, and Brandon Scott Merrell, 20, both of Canton.

Hamde and Merrell were later located and arrested.

The investigation is ongoing.
