LILBURN, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Gwinnett Fire crews were dispatched to a house fire Saturday on the 1300 block of Martin Nash Road in Lilburn.
A passerby called the Gwinnett County emergency dispatch call center to report smoke coming from the home. The caller was unsure if anyone was in the home because there was a car in the driveway.
Firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished the fire.
The fire was contained to one room toward the back corner of the house.
They removed one person from the burning house, who was treated and transported to a local hospital.
Due to the nature of the fire incident and circumstances with the patient, fire department investigators were called to the scene.
The incident was turned over to Gwinnett Police Department and fire investigators.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No one else was injured.
