CHAMBLEE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Chamblee police are trying to figure out who shot a man and left him in a parking lot of the Mad Italian Restaurant.
Police found the victim Yannick Medjo, 25, along Savoy Road just before 7 a.m.
He was taken to Grady Hospital where he was later died.
Witnesses told police they saw a blue Ford SUV leaving the scene. It is unclear at this time if the man was shot at the scene or injured somewhere else and dumped at that location.
Investigators determined that Yannick left his vehicle parked at the location Friday night and traveled to Tennessee overnight with Phylos Pokem.
Pokem said they arrived back on Saturday morning in Pokem's vehicle and had just gotten out of the car when the SUV approached.
The passenger in the SUV was reportedly armed with a gun. Pokem jumped back into his vehicle and fled the scene leaving Medjo behind, according to reports.
Pokem then rented a hotel room off of Northlake Parkway and later turned himself in to police.
Pokem is now in custody charged with felony murder, providing false statements to police officers and forgery.
Tips led to another suspect, Armand Patrick Ngamou. He already had outstanding warrants and was arrested on those.
The investigation into the homicide continues and anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to contact the Chamblee police at 770-986-5005.
