ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Fire investigators are trying to find the cause of a blaze that sent smoke billowing over much of Atlanta.
Around 5 p.m. Monday, a two-alarm fire broke out at Doors Unlimited on Trabert Avenue in Midtown.
No one was inside the building, which had already closed for the day, when firefighters arrived at the scene, according to Atlanta Fire Rescue Department Capt. Marian McDaniel.
McDaniel said firefighters had to force their way through a locked gate on the property to get close enough to begin extinguishing the fire.
The fire was mostly fueled by garage doors stored inside the building, although part of the fire could have been chemical, McDaniel said.
Atlanta fire officials were trying to get in touch with the business owner, but had not been successful, according to McDaniel.
One firefighter was taken to Atlanta Medical Center for heat exhaustion, but was expected to be OK.
