ROSWELL, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
The Roswell Fire Department held a party to celebrate 75 years of service. The event was held on Saturday at Fire Station #1.
As part of the celebration, those in attendance got to witness the reopening of the Roswell Fire Museum.
A group of businessmen started the department when they decided there was a need for fire protection in Roswell. The department was predominately staffed by volunteers until 1985. There are now 145 full and part-time employees.
