Fulton County residents can participate in rain barrel workshop

ALPHARETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The City of Alpharetta and Fulton County Public Works Water Services are holding a "make and take" rain barrel workshop for North Fulton County residents.

The workshop, held on Aug. 28, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will last one hour.

Harvesting rain water is an excellent water source for lawns and plants. Participants will receive a 55-gallon rain barrel and ideas on how to install one.

The cost is $35 and includes the rain barrel and all supplies. It will be held at the Alpharetta Engineering/Public Works Department at 1790 Hembree Road in Alpharetta.

Space is limited so you must pre-register by calling 678-297-6200.
