GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Fire investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire that destroyed two commercial buildings late Wednesday night.

Gwinnett Fire Captain Tommy Rutledge said crews were called to a business fire on the 6530 block of Buford Highway in the Norcross area when a passerby reported seeing flames at around 11:40 p.m.

Firefighters found two medium sized storage buildings fully engulfed in flames that were in danger of spreading to nearby trees and a third building.

Rutledge said the damage was contained to the two buildings, destroying one of them and causing significant damage to the other. The third building had some exterior damage from the heat of the flames.

No one was at the business when firefighters arrived and there were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
