FBI: Dunwoody man tried to meet up with child for sex, found FBI agents instead

RINGGOLD, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

FBI agents have arrested a Dunwoody man after they said he tried to solicit sex from a child online.

Justin Ricks, 27, was arrested Monday for attempted aggravated child molestation and violating the Computer Pornography Act.

Ricks went to Ringgold to meet up with a child he had met online for the purpose of having sex. However, that child was actually an undercover officer, according to Special Agent in Charge Brian Lamkin.

When Ricks arrived in Ringgold, he was met by FBI agents and officers with the FBI's Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force.

Ricks was then arrested and booked into the Catoosa County Jail.
