GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Around 1 p.m. Aug. 5, residents near 1414 Azalea Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville reported finding the skeletal remains of a person.

Gwinnett County detectives are treating this as a "suspicious death" investigation.

The remains are believed to be those of a black female, likely between 19 and 22 years old. Her height is estimated between 5'08" and 6'.

The remains of a T-shirt were found on the woman, which appeared to be from a memorial function for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 2008. She also wore a large Smoke Rise brand red jacket.

Anyone with information on this case should contact Gwinnett Police detectives at 770-513-5300.
