ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Less than 48 hours after a large oak tree crashed through two dining rooms at Fox Brothers Bar-B-Q in Atlanta, the restaurant is open again with makeshift tents.
"We definitely wanted to get back to work as soon as possible," said co-owner Justin Fox. "You keep telling yourself what could have happened, I try not to think about it too often. It could have been a lot worse."
People were sitting in the outside dining room when the tree started falling during a storm Thursday night. However, everyone was able to get out safely. Two cars were destroyed, as were two dining rooms. After a full day of cleanup Friday, the restaurant reopened Saturday morning.
"We were very surprised they were open after the damage we saw on the news this week," said customer Leanne Martin. "We drove by, saw they were open, and decided to stop in and eat."
