Sinkhole affects traffic on Monroe Drive in northeast Atlanta

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Traffic will be affected on Monroe Drive in northeast Atlanta on Wednesday until 7 p.m. while repair crews work to fill a sinkhole.

The sinkhole is located on Monroe between 8th Street and Virginia Avenue.

One northbound lane will be closed as Atlanta Department of Watershed Management employees patch the hole.

Northbound drivers should take Piedmont Avenue to 10th Street to bypass the road work.
