Victim identified in Cobb County crash

COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Cobb County police identified a 33-year-old man who was killed when his SUV veered off I-575, and crashed into an overpass and burst into flames.

Officer Mike Bowman said Joseph Guy Cooper was driving his Ford Expedition on I-575 around 3:45 a.m. Friday when it left the road.

The SUV went through the grassy median and crashing into the Hawkins Store Road overpass. It came to a rest on Hawkins Store Road and caught fire.

The accident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call (770) 499-3987.
