ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A man was found shot at Atlantic Station early Thursday morning with a gunshot wound.
Police said they found the victim sitting in a car at 17th Street and State Street.
Atlantic Station released this statement:
"Atlantic Station Town Center management has been made aware of an incident that occurred overnight in the parking deck of the Icon Apartments. The Icon community is located outside of Atlantic Station's Town Center and is not a part of our center. A person who said they were a victim of an armed robbery attempt in the parking deck requested assistance from an Atlantic Station public safety officer, who in turn alerted the Atlanta Police Department. This is an isolated, off-site incident and at no time were our guests in danger. Because the safety of our guests is paramount, we are monitoring the situation and alerting the public to this incident."
There is no word on the man's condition, or possible suspects.
