Teacher Elizabeth Nilsen thinks someone is trying to teach her a lesson. According to a report with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office, Nilsen found someone had vandalized her SUV over the weekend.
The message "Will Watson win. U will lose if you don't back off" was written across the side. Watson refers to the principal at Hayes Elementary in Kennesaw.
Nilsen is fighting to keep her fourth grade teaching job. She was supposed to meet with members of the Cobb County School District on Wednesday regarding her contract, but that meeting has now been postponed.
Nilsen says the principal put her on a performance plan and that the principal gave Nilsen an unsatisfactory rating. Nilsen says the stress of the situation forced her to take medical leave in the spring.
She has filed internal complaints with the school system alleging discrimination. "White females over the age of 40," said Nilsen. Nilsen alleges age, race, gender and disability discrimination. She can only see out of one eye.
Nilsen said she does not think the principal wrote on her SUV. She also said she did not write the words.
"No, I didn't, that's not even in my own character," said Nilsen.
Nilsen said she did not know when the hearing on her contract will take place.
Requests to the Cobb County School District representative were not returned.
