BUFORD, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Police are looking for the man who set a truck on fire as it sat in the driveway of a home on Trailing Ivy Way in Buford.
A neighbor called the emergency dispatch center and stated that they woke up to the sound of a car horn around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Both the neighbor and Gwinnett County police officers attempted to extinguish the fire prior to firefighters' arrival.
The fire was so hot it scorched the bricks on the house, but did not spread to the home.
Surveillance video shows a man breaking the truck's window then throwing something inside it, setting it on fire.
Investigators confirmed that the cause of the blaze was an intentional act of arson.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to please contact the Gwinnett Fire Arson and Explosives Investigation Section at 678-518-4890 or the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1-800-282-5804.
