College Park police arrested two people who were inside a car that fled from officers patrolling an apartment complex overnight.

The situation started when police said an officer saw Marie Cosby and Omegah Brown acting suspiciously in the parking lot of Highland Square Apartments off Camp Creek Parkway.

Police said Cosby and Brown got into a scuffle with the officer, then got into a car and sped off, almost hitting the officer.

Officers pursued the vehicle until it crashed on Riverdale Road near I-85, police said.

Cosby, the driver, was arrested on scene, but Brown took off on foot into a wooded area.

Police told CBS Atlanta News that search teams were called, and Brown was eventually found and taken into custody.

There were no injuries reported from the crash.

Cosby was issued a citation for obstruction, aggravated assault on police officer, fleeing and eluding a police officer, and reckless driving. Brown was issued a citation for obstruction.
