Reward offered in Boys and Girls Club vandalism

DALTON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The Boys and Girls Club of Dalton is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the people responsible for vandalizing their building at 1007 Underwood St.

The incident happened sometime between 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 22 and 7 a.m. on Monday, July 23.

Staff found that the window had been broken out and that there were holes knocked in walls and doors by a hammer.

A fire extinguisher was also discharged inside a bus on the property, according to reports.

Police said early estimates indicated that the incident caused approximately $2,000 worth of damage.
