A Gwinnett County home was destroyed by a fire in Buford.
According to Gwinnett County fire investigators, the fire appears to have started in the garage area of the home on Little Mill Parkway and quickly spread to the rest of the one-story house.
Two adults were home at the time and were alerted to the fire by a loud popping sound, fire officials said.
A neighbor who was awake at the time described hearing an explosion sound prior to discovering the fire next door.
Police said a single mother was living in the home with her daughter.
A BB&T fund has been set-up and viewers wishing to make a donation can go to any BB&T location and put it under the name Jennifer Illing.
No one was injured in the blaze. The exact cause of the fire is still undetermined and under investigation.
