LAWRENCEVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
The Tire Rack Street Survival national nonprofit teen driving program came to the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds on Saturday.
The program focuses on teaching teen drivers how to avoid common driving errors.
After a short classroom session, the teens are put on a course. They go through emergency braking, skid control, appropriate steering and how to avoid accidents.
The group says more than 5,000 teen drivers are involved in fatal vehicle crashes every year.
