CONYERS, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A 19-year-old and a juvenile are in jail accused of snatching the purse of a woman in a crowded Kroger parking lot in Conyers.
Surveillance video from the Kroger on Highway 138 shows one suspect darting through cars in the parking lot and grabbing the woman's purse as she put her groceries in her trunk.
"I would consider them dangerous," said Lt. Jackie Dunn. "If you're going to do something in the middle of the day, populated, and you don't care who sees it and who's around, I would consider them dangerous."
Police said several other customers ran after the suspect on foot. He hopped into a waiting car and took off. Police gave chase and arrested the alleged purse snatcher and the driver of the car.
Investigators are now looking into whether the pair are tied to other purse snatchings in the Conyers area.
