ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA/CNN) -
A wrong-way driver caused a head-on collision in Mississippi Wednesday.
The wrong-way driver, later identified as Edward Fairley, 58, was traveling at speeds of 70 miles per hour while another driver caught it all on camera.
Alan Fanning was recording the incident on his phone while his wife and his two children watched the event unfold.
Fanning's wife can be heard telling a 911 dispatcher that Fairley was "going every bit of 70 miles per hour."
"He had both hands on the steering wheel, and his head was just dropped like he was unconscious," Fanning said. "I was blowing the horn at him trying to get him to wake up."
Fairley eventually crashed into an oncoming vehicle.
After the crash, Fanning helped two female occupants out of the oncoming vehicle.
Police say Fairley suffered a broken shoulder. They said he may have suffered from a medical emergency before the crash.
