JONESBORO, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A hearing for convicted cop killer Jonathan Bun, 18, has been rescheduled to Aug. 9.
In May, a jury convicted Bun of murdering Clayton County Deputy Rick Daly. Bun gunned down Daly when the veteran law enforcement officer pulled him over in July 2011 for an outstanding armed robbery warrant.
A judge must still sentence Bun, but the defense plans to argue against a life sentence with the possibility of parole. They call the sentence "unconstitutional" since Bun was only 17 when he committed the murder.
