ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Bachelorette contestant Ryan Bowers from Augusta is still looking for love.
Bowers spoke with CBS Atlanta's Jennifer Banks about his experience on the show, about the process of getting on the show and meeting with producers.
He said all contestants go through a blood test and a psychological exam.
Bowers explained how each man is checked out so there are no "surprises" later.
He joked about passing the health test saying "Looks like I'm clean," said Bowers.
Bowers explained that he thinks the producers selected great matches for Emily, but some of the guys were just for entertainment.
In the interview, Bowers defended his comments about wanting a "trophy wife" and touched on his comment towards Emily about gaining weight after children.
On the show Ryan said, "I would still love you, I just might not love on you as much."
Bowers said at times he felt like his comments were taken out of context and maybe tweaked in a certain way during the editing process.
So what is he doing now? Bowers is still trying to find his trophy wife. He is looking for someone honest with a sense of humor.
He is also actively helping raise awareness about The Aimee Copeland Fund.
Aimee is a 24-year-old Georgia woman who lost her left leg, right foot and both hands to a flesh-eating disease. She is currently at a rehabilitation center. Click to read more about Aimee.
Bowers is selling his ATHELITE wristbands and donating some of the money to the Copeland fund. Click here to learn more.
The Georgia bachelor is still thinking about his future plans because so many opportunities have rolled in.
But rest assured, this won't be the last time you see Bowers in the spotlight. He hinted that he has projects in the entertainment world that he can't give details about.
