COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Georgia voters are two weeks away from voting on the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, or T-SPLOST.
Voters will head to the polls to decide if they want to pay more in sales tax to ease traffic congestion.
Cobb County has a number of projects included in the proposal. The largest and most expensive project is the premium transit line. The project will cost $695 million for the bus rapid transit line. It would connect Acworth and Kennesaw with the MARTA Arts Station in midtown Atlanta.
Other projects include improvements at the I-75/Windy Hill interchange, as well as improvements at nine intersections along Cobb Parkway from Barrett Parkway to the Bartow County line.
CBS Atlanta's Jennifer Mayerle will take an in-depth look at the projects recommended for Cobb County on CBS Atlanta News on Tuesday and Wednesday.
