MONROE, COUNTY (CBS ATLANTA) -
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is searching for a pickup truck believed to be involved in a wreck that killed a Roberta man.
The crash occurred early Saturday morning, shortly after midnight on Hwy. 42 South near mile marker 5, according to police.
A light colored pickup truck stopped in front of 51-year-old James Harvey Costlow's motorcycle and caused Costlow to rear-end the truck with his motorcycle, according to a witness.
Costlow was thrown from the motorcycle. Emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police do not have much information regarding the pickup, which left the scene.
This case is under investigation and Monroe County Sheriff J.C. Bittick is asking that anyone who has information regarding the crash to contact the sheriff's office at 478-994-7048.
