ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA/CNN) -
There is a doggie dispute in Portland, Oregon.
A man lost his dog a year ago, but then found him in an unusual way.
Sam Hanson-Fleming's dog Chase went missing at the beginning of 2011.
Fliers, Craigslist Ads, Calls to shelters and still nothing brought him home.
In May of 2012 at a coffee drive thru Sam glanced at the car behind him.
In his rearview mirror he saw Chase.
But Chase is now called Bear, and his new owner Jordan Biggs does not want to give him back.
So who is the rightful owner?
The decision went to the Multnomah County Animal Services director Mike Oswald who asked for evidence from both sides.
Oswald said based upon all that I had, it appeared that the dog is really owned by Fleming.
Hanson-Fleming says Biggs won't return the dog. Biggs also filed a lawsuit so she can keep him.
