Robber holds pregnant store clerk at gunpoint

HENRY COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Police need your help identifying an armed robber who is terrorizing gas station employees in Henry County. The gunman hit two stores less than 24 hours apart - and one of the clerks was pregnant.

"It was a stupid mistake," said Leah Ducket, one of the clerks who was robbed at gunpoint. "It doesn't even equal to the amount of time you could get going to prison. You could have hurt somebody, I mean for real, hurt somebody."

Ducket works at a Chevron on Eagles Landing Parkway where the crook hit last Saturday – but cops say the same guy is responsible for another robbery just the day before that at the Marathon gas station on Jodeco Road.

"This guy is confident in what he does, based on our experience and observing his method and demeanor, he's probably done this before," said Sgt. Joey Smith with the Henry County police force. "He seems to be pretty confident in what he's doing."

At the Marathon, the crook pointed his gun at the owner's pregnant sister-in-law. Once he was ready to leave, the crook forced the terrified cashiers into the storage room while he made his escape in a white Ford Explorer.

Not only does the robber look like the same guy during both crimes, police say it looks like he's using the same silver handgun.

If you have any information in these cases, you're urged to call police.
