TAYLOR COUNTY (CBSATLANTA) -
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Taylor County officers arrested two parents after a child abuse investigation.
Diana and Samuel Franklin were arrested July 8.
Superior Court Judge Frank Jordan issued arrest warrants charging Diana Franklin with 12 counts of 1st degree cruelty to children and four counts of false imprisonment.
Samuel Franklin was charged him with eight counts of 1st-degree cruelty to children and eight counts of false imprisonment.
Department of Family and Children Services received information that a child was being abused at the Franklin residence May 25.
Reports said the abuse included locking the child in a storage building, chicken coup and outhouse for days at a time.
The child was removed from the home, but the investigation remains active.
