DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Several people were taken to the hospital after a van and a bus collided in the southbound lanes of Interstate 85 during rush hour Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 9 a.m. near the North Druid Hills exit.

A spokesperson with the DeKalb County Police Department said that a female driving a van changed lanes and cut off a GRTA Xpress bus, causing the bus to hit the van, according to police.

The driver of the van was taken to Emory Hospital with minor injuries. Two children in the van were taken to Children's Hospital of Atlanta at Egleston for minor injuries.

No one on the bus was hurt, and the bus driver was not cited in the accident.

Passengers on the GRTA Xpress bus were moved to another bus.

The driver of the van was charged with making an improper lane change.
