DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
An apparent medical emergency caused a driver to barrel through a fence and into the Gresham Park pool in DeKalb County Friday. The incident happened around 6:30 p.m.
Authorities told CBS Atlanta that crews will need to drain the public pool to check for damage to the liner. Oil and gas from the car will also need to be cleaned up before the facility will reopen.
The public pool could remain closed over the weekend and may not open until Tuesday, depending on when crews can repair the damages.
The condition of the driver is unknown.
