Pothole Patrol: Memorial Drive Streetscape project

DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Picture this!

In 2009, DeKalb County commissioners, along with CEO Burrell Ellis, broke ground for phase two of the Memorial Drive Streetscape project.

The $7.6 million project was paid for entirely by federal funds, including stimulus funds.

The project, designed to enhance the overall look of Memorial Drive, should have been completed in Early 2011 but remains incomplete.

DeKalb officials now claim it is not their project at all. They are putting blame on the state.

Why is the contractor so far behind?

Pothole Harry goes after the answer on Pothole Patrol at 4,5 and 6 p.m.
