DOUGLASVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Atlanta police along with Douglasville police and the Douglas County sheriff are teaming up to try and catch two serial robbers.
It was on June 25 that Atlanta police said the duo robbed the North Highland Pub. Two days later they hit a gas station in Douglasville.
The clerk said the men came in just after 9 p.m. on June 27. Immediately, Saiful Alum said they went for him and the cash register.
"The one guy, he shot. I think to scare me or something," Alum said. "He grabbed the gun to my face and took me down, and the other guy tried to open the cash register. He couldn't open it, and he pulled me inside and asked me to open the register and I opened it."
It was a matter of minutes that the men were in and out of the store.
A detective with Douglasville police said the men have the same modus operandi. One of the bigger criminals goes in first, and then a smaller criminal with the gun comes in after.
Atlanta police have increased the crime stoppers reward to $7,000 for anyone who comes forward with information that leads to an arrest.
