DALLAS, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Paulding County sheriff's deputies are looking for a teen wanted for running another teen over. Officers said they received new information the wanted teen's mother may be taking him to Canada.
Investigators said on July 1 Diante Rosado, 17, is accused of running over another teen with a Ford F-150 pick-up truck.
Witnesses told CBS Atlanta the 15-year-old teen approached Rosado on Hope Drive in Dallas. He accused Rosado of breaking into his house and the two fought. Rosado then went to leave in the truck.
"Our friend ran up to the truck. He (Rosado) like bumped him to the ground and then cut the wheel and ran over his legs," said Jacob Sewell, witness
"I wouldn't say he tried to kill him," said Jarek Carlson, witness.
Deputies have been looking for Rosado, who faces a felony aggravated assault charge. They received a tip his mother and him were heading to Canada via Buffalo, NY. Shelevia Raquero Proctor is described as 5'05", 205 pounds and 43 years old. Officers believe they are in her 2011 black Toyota Highlander with Georgia license plate BRL 9860.
The 15-year-old is recovering at home. Sewell thought his friend's leg and foot were broken. Cedric Pirtle, the 15-year-old's father, said his son was doing great and did not break any bones, though the family was taking him to another doctor just to be sure.
